1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Mini Briefs (“we,” “our,” or “us”), operated by an independent developer, governing your use of the Mini Briefs mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service. These Terms also serve as the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the Mini Briefs iOS application.

2. The Service

Mini Briefs provides daily news summaries in Spanish and English, generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence, along with audio versions, daily games, and — for subscribers — personalized briefings. News summaries are generated from third-party sources and are provided for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors; always verify important information with the original sources linked in each summary.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to create an account. You may delete your account at any time from the app's profile settings, which permanently removes your data.

4. Subscriptions (Mini Briefs Premium)

Mini Briefs Premium is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks the daily personalized briefing with audio. Two plans are offered:

• Mini Briefs Premium Monthly. Length: 1 month. Price: US$4.99 per month (or the local equivalent shown at the point of purchase).
• Mini Briefs Premium Yearly. Length: 1 year. Price: US$39.99 per year (or the local equivalent shown at the point of purchase).

When purchased through the iOS app, payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal charge is applied to your Apple Account within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then.

Subscriptions purchased on the web are billed and managed through our website. Refunds for purchases made through Apple are handled by Apple under its terms; you can request one at support.apple.com. Prices may change; any change applies only to renewals after you have been notified as required by the applicable store.

5. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the Service except as permitted by law. All content, trademarks, and branding in the Service remain our property or that of our licensors.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by circumventing rate limits
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content or data from the Service
• Misrepresent AI-generated summaries as statements made by the original news sources

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. News summaries are AI-generated and may be incomplete or contain errors. The Service is not a substitute for professional, financial, legal, or medical advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 8, and 11) will survive.

10. Apple-Specific Terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and Mini Briefs, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Mexico, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
